Businesswoman and founder of DANG, Ifedayo Agoro, has taken to social media to express her displeasure towards popular Nigerian artist 2Baba Idibia over his recent announcement regarding his divorce from his wife, Annie Macauley.
The drama began when 2Baba posted on his page that his marriage with Annie Macauley had come to an end and that they had been living separately for some time now. He further revealed that they were in the process of getting a divorce.
Shortly after making the post, 2Baba returned online to claim that his account had been hacked, thereby retracting his initial statement and debunking the news about his marital issues.
However, in a surprising twist, he shared a video a few minutes later, confirming that his account was not hacked and reiterating the news of the separation and impending divorce.
Reacting to the developments, Ifedayo Agoro expressed outrage, criticizing 2Baba’s decision to make such a sensitive announcement at a time when Annie was already facing public backlash over her appearance on the "Young, Famous, and African" reality show.
In her strongly worded statement, Ifedayo wrote: “First they groom you, then you lose yourself, and then they dump you. I am sooo angry! I never involve myself with things like this, but this is disgusting behaviour by this man.”
She continued: “At a time when this woman is being bashed, you had to say this? Knowing you have constantly humiliated her publicly since I was 18 years old? Why now? Why add more fire to her reputation?”
Concluding her statement, Ifedayo advised women never to prioritize a man over themselves, emphasizing the importance of self-worth. She wrote: “Never ever, ever choose a man over yourself. No one is INDISPENSABLE! Gosh!”
