Popular singer, May D, recently shared his opinion that he was once considered part of the 'Big 3' in the Nigerian music industry, alongside fellow superstars Davido and Wizkid. He made these remarks during an appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast.

May D, reflecting on his career, explained that he was on the same level as both Davido and Wizkid, and at one point, he even believed he was bigger than both of them. This statement comes after May D expressed that he could have been much more successful than Wizkid if he hadn’t parted ways with PSquare’s record label, to which he was previously signed. He reminisced about the days when he, Wizkid, and Davido were seen as the dominant trio in the Nigerian music scene. He confidently stated, "Then it was Wizkid, Davido, and I. I was even like bigger. Wetin be ‘Holla at Your Boy’ compared to ‘Soundtrack?’"
