Veteran Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, recently revealed that she faced rejection for major movie roles in her career because some filmmakers didn't consider her attractive enough.
Funke Akindele shared her experiences during a candid conversation on the latest episode of Toke Makinwa's talk show, "Toke Moments." In her discussion, she opened up about how she was denied roles, even in Yoruba movies, due to her appearance. She recounted that movie producers would only offer her minor roles, which left her in tears.
Akindele candidly shared her experiences, saying, "I remember people telling me, 'You are not fine. You don't have ass. You don't have boobs. You will not be in this film. And, I remember crying. A lot of times I would cry, break down, get into the bathroom and cry."
