A video capturing one of the poignant final moments of the esteemed Nollywood actor, John Okafor, widely known as Mr. Ibu, has surfaced following his passing on Saturday.
In the circulating footage on social media, the late actor is seen on his hospital bed expressing gratitude to singer Rudeboy of P-Square just a few hours before his demise.
On his hospital bed, Mr. Ibu reflects on the divine timing of life, stating, "everything happens exactly on God’s own time. When the time comes, it has come." He extends appreciation to Rudeboy for the unwavering support and care during his challenging moments, expressing hope that they will dine together in heaven.
In his heartfelt words, Mr. Ibu says, "Rudeboy, I don’t know where to begin. But everything happens exactly on God’s own time. When the time comes, it has come. Rudeboy, if you don’t make heaven, call me nama [meat]. You will go to heaven and we will sit in the presence of the angels and eat together."
He anticipates the reactions to their bond, acknowledging, "What people will be talking about today would be, ‘How come? But Ibu and P-Square, they are not the same parents.’ But I tell you, parents don come."
It's noteworthy that Mr. Ibu passed away at the age of 62, leaving behind a wife and children.
