Francis Van-Lare, the father-in-law of the late US-based Nigerian doctor, Dr. Ikenna Erinne, has made serious accusations against him, alleging domestic abuse, fraud, and labeling him a deadbeat dad. These accusations came amidst the growing backlash facing the Van-Lare family following the doctor’s tragic death, which is believed to be connected to issues regarding child support.

In a series of Facebook posts, Francis harshly criticized his late son-in-law, claiming that Dr. Ikenna Erinne had been evading child support payments for his children. According to Francis, the late cardiologist used various strategies to conceal his income in order to avoid paying the child support. These actions included switching between jobs in different states and creating multiple LLCs through which his income was funneled to avoid detection.

Why late Dr. Ikenna Erinne was sued

Francis elaborated on the details of the case, stating that Dr. Erinne refused to financially support his two children, particularly his son, who has special needs. Francis accused Dr. Erinne of leaving his son alone while continuing to work in multiple states to evade responsibility. He claimed that once a support case was initiated in one state, Dr. Erinne would quit his job and move to another state, further evading his financial obligations.

“Facts of the Matter. He refused to financially support his two children. Instead, he chose to get licenses from different states and work in those states to avoid paying support in the state of Maryland where he was domiciled. Once a support case was brought against him in one state, he would quit his job and run to another state to avoid paying support. Why was he working from state to state? He created different LLCs in multiple states for his income to be paid to these businesses, thus making it difficult to detect his actual earnings,” Francis wrote.

He also raised the question of why a cardiologist would obtain licenses in multiple states but fail to provide for his physically challenged son, noting that Dr. Erinne’s failure to contribute financially to his son’s special needs and medical care was appalling. Francis emphasized that the court eventually found Dr. Erinne’s hidden income and required him to pay support, which, according to him, was far less than the $15,000 that had been reported by bloggers. Instead of taking responsibility for his actions, Francis accused Dr. Erinne of taking the cowardly way out by committing suicide to escape his duties.

“Finally, he decided to return to the state of Maryland and voluntarily stopped working to show zero income just to avoid support. He thought he was smart and had everything figured out, but investigators found his hidden money, and the court asked him to pay support. It was not the $15,000 some bloggers are talking about,” Francis said. “Instead of manning up and finding a job to support his special needs son, he chose to go and threaten people with a gun and then took the cowardly way out to avoid paying support.”

Francis expressed his frustration over Dr. Erinne’s actions, stating that no one should blame his daughter for the tragic decision made by an adult to end his life. “Suicide is not the answer. He failed his children, his parents, and his family,” he concluded. He also made a firm statement directed at any bloggers spreading false information about the situation. “Any blogger, especially Amanda Chisom, writing rubbish, I will focus on her and give her something to worry about. People should be held accountable for their actions,” Francis warned.

Francis Van-Lare accuses the late Dr. Erinne of domestic abuse, deadbeat

In a strong statement, Francis accused Dr. Erinne of being a “deadbeat dad” who failed to meet his responsibilities, even regarding his child support. “Liars everywhere. He killed himself to avoid paying $1,900.00 monthly, which he paid partially sometimes. He was not asked to pay $15,000 a month, as alleged. Deadbeat dad!” he wrote. Francis continued to claim that Dr. Erinne had a history of violence, referencing numerous restraining orders filed against him in the state of Maryland.

“Go to the state of Maryland Circuit Court and check the numerous restraining orders. Quiet and peaceful guy my foot. Any more rubbish talk about my family, and there will be more revelations. I am a bulldozer and will bulldoze any lying blogger. Nobody should blame my daughter for the embarrassment he caused everyone,” Francis stated vehemently.
