Nollywood star, Toyin Abraham has officially responded to the serious allegations made against her by a fashion designer. In a strongly worded post on her Instagram page, @stitchesbyandra did not mince words when expressing her frustration with the situation, clearly voicing out her discontent. She specifically tagged the celebrities in her post, accusing them of ignoring the debt they allegedly owed her and raising concerns about her patience running out.

“@toyin_abraham @annieidibia1 @gabrielanthonys, my patience is running out already. 1 year and 2 months. How can you be with someone’s millions and feel so reluctant?” she angrily wrote on her social media page.

However, Toyin Abraham was quick to issue a response later that same evening, firmly denying the claims made by the designer. In a detailed statement posted to her Instagram page, she offered clarity on the matter, explaining the circumstances surrounding the alleged debt, and attempting to absolve herself from any wrongdoing in the mix-up.

Toyin explained that the situation revolved around dresses borrowed for a specific scene in the movie Malaika. During the production, her team needed dresses for a runway scene, and as a result, they reached out to several fashion designers, including Tiannah, to supply the required clothing. Additionally, Gabriel Anthony, a key member of the production, had brought in the designer in question as someone who could also contribute her pieces for the shoot.

According to Toyin, the dresses were used exclusively for the scene and were subsequently returned to Gabriel, who had facilitated the arrangement. Toyin also revealed that she had even purchased a hairpiece from the designer, for which she claimed to have paid in full. Once the production concluded, she stated that she handed the dresses back to Gabriel, ensuring the borrowed items were returned to the rightful owner.

The actress emphasized that after seeing the accusations online, she immediately contacted Gabriel to seek clarification. Gabriel allegedly confirmed that he had indeed informed the fashion designer that the dresses were returned and that the pieces had been borrowed by another party, which left Toyin Abraham with no further responsibility in the matter.

Toyin expressed disappointment over the fact that her name was being dragged into the issue despite her attempts to resolve it and maintain a spotless record in her business dealings. She reassured her fans and followers that she had done everything within her power to handle the situation properly, and that the current confusion was due to a miscommunication between Gabriel and the designer.

Toyin Abraham’s clarification on unpaid debts

In her post, Toyin stated, “Hello everyone, I want to address the recent allegations regarding an unpaid debt to a fashion designer. The situation has been completely misunderstood, and I’d like to clarify what happened.

During the production of the movie Malaika, there was a runway scene, and we needed dresses. We contacted a couple of designers, Tiannah, to provide the dresses. Additionally, Gabriel, who was part of the team, mentioned that a friend of his also wanted to contribute some dresses, and she did.

I even bought a hairpiece from her, for which I paid in full. As for the dresses she provided, they were borrowed for the shoot, and once we finished using them, I handed the dresses back to Gabriel, who had initially brought them to us.

Upon seeing the allegations online, I immediately called Gabriel for clarification. Gabriel confirmed that he informed the designer that the dresses had already been returned to him, and that they were subsequently borrowed by someone else. It is, therefore, no longer my responsibility.

I hope this clears the confusion. Screenshots of THE conversation between the designer and Gabriel will be included for further proof. I appreciate everyone’s understanding and support. Thank you.”

Toyin went on to add screenshots of conversations between Gabriel and the designer to support her claims, hoping to put an end to the misunderstanding once and for all.
