Renowned Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has offered invaluable advice to her colleagues in the industry who are contemplating appearing on podcasts.
Her counsel comes in the wake of a recent incident involving her colleague, Yvonne Jegede, who made controversial remarks on The Honest Bunch podcast regarding Yul Edochie's marriage, subsequently leading to a public apology.
Etinosa Idemudia emphasized the importance of careful consideration before participating in podcasts. She cautioned her colleagues to refrain from attending if they are not mentally prepared for the platform's potential challenges.
She advised that those who do decide to appear on podcasts should meticulously choose their words and refrain from making impulsive statements that could necessitate apologies afterward. According to her, podcast settings often create a relaxed atmosphere that can lead individuals to let their guard down unintentionally, all while the podcast creators profit without compensating the guests.
In her own words: "If you know you no get strong mind, no go any podcast else your mind no touch ground. And if you must go, have a plan of what you will say there to avoid getting carried away and letting unfortunate things slip out that you have to apologize for cos those studios and colours are set up to ease your mind and you tend to loose guard without proper plan… meanwhile the podcast is counting their dollars and they didn’t even pay you a dime. God forbid."
