Nollywood actress and producer Etinosa Idemudia has publicly criticized her colleague, Frederick Leonard, after he blocked her on Instagram over a comment she made on his post.
The issue began when Frederick Leonard shared a video from a movie set, praising his crew members and describing how much joy they bring him while working together.
In the caption of his post, he wrote, “My Crew Dey give me JOY 😃😃😃. At work, Making Another CLASSIC. Keep Your Eyes on FREDERICK LEONARD TV. 2025 go Sweet, I don tell una.”
Taking to the comment section, Etinosa pointed out what she saw as an irony—how Frederick motivates his crew members on his own set while allegedly mistreating crew members when working on other film sets.
“You dey ginger your crew but go to other person’s set to traumatize their crew. Is it good?” she wrote.
Shortly after making the comment, Etinosa noticed that Frederick Leonard had blocked her on Instagram. She then took to social media to express her disappointment, revealing that he had taken offence over what she described as a ‘harmless joke.’

Expressing her frustration, the actress questioned why Frederick Leonard didn’t reach out to her privately for clarification before taking such an action. She insisted that her comment was not meant to offend but was simply stating the truth.
In a lengthy Instagram post, she wrote, “Dear Frederick Leonard, You can block me for cracking a simple joke with you!! It was an obvious joke you could have deleted or come to my DM to say ‘haba babe, I don’t like it,’ and I would have sharply apologized and deleted it. It was never intended to hurt you, but I guess it hurt SO MUCH BECAUSE IT’S TRUE!!!
Thunder fire you. Block me so you can sleep at night, but you cannot block that voice in your head TELLING YOU THE TRUTH. The truth is bitter. Crew Members are human beings!! Stop treating them like ANIMALS and making Clout Chasing videos to look like a good person. A lot of Crew Members turn down jobs when they hear you are on it. That’s deep, bro.
Only your friend will tell you your mouth is smelling. You have blocked your sister too. You will keep blocking, my dear.”
She further added in the caption of her post, “My mother always complains about the way I joke, saying that sometimes not everybody finds it funny. I truly apologize to my big brother and former friend, Frederick. This thing pain me, I no go lie. Kilagbe kileju. It is well ❤️.”
Her post has since sparked mixed reactions among fans and colleagues, with some supporting her stance while others feel she may have taken the joke too far. Meanwhile, Frederick Leonard has yet to respond publicly to the controversy.
