Pashotah, the wife of well-known social media personality Egungun of Lagos, has come forward to expose a blackmailer attempting to extort money over her husband’s private video.
Sharing her side of the story, Pashotah took to her Instagram page to reveal screenshots of her conversations with the blackmailer. The individual threatened to release the video unless they were paid, hoping to tarnish the couple’s reputation and create tension in their marriage.
In an emotional and lengthy post, Pashotah explained why she chose not to bow to the blackmailer’s demands. She highlighted the strength of her relationship with Egungun, built on unwavering trust, love, and mutual respect. The couple has been together for over 6-8 years, long before achieving their current level of success and fame.
She wrote, “Our marriage is not just based on love but on deep trust, loyalty, and commitment. We’ve weathered storms together, and nothing can tear us apart—not even this attempt to shame us.”
Pashotah shared that the video in question was private and meant solely for her, dismissing the blackmailer’s efforts to paint a false narrative. She emphasized her confidence in Egungun’s character, describing him as a humble, generous, and devoted man. Her post made it clear that she would not let anyone use the situation to shame or humiliate her.
“This blackmailer thought they could target me to shame me, but they underestimated the bond my husband and I share. This will not break us or stop me from celebrating my husband,” she added.
In her post, Pashotah also revealed that Egungun had chosen not to address the issue publicly since the blackmail was directed at her. She reassured their fans that the scandal would not affect their marriage or their ability to enjoy the upcoming festive season together.
Pashotah ended her post by urging fans to ignore the attempted smear campaign. She reminded them to focus on positivity and shared her excitement for their planned Christmas photo shoot, which she promised would be shared soon.
She concluded, “To our followers and supporters, thank you for your love and understanding. Happy holidays, and let’s continue to spread joy, not hate.”
