Sheeran admitted that when he wrote "Shape of You," he envisioned Rihanna as the ideal artist for the song. Released on January 6th, 2017, the track became a massive hit worldwide.
Reflecting on the song's success, Sheeran highlighted its achievement at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, where it won the Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance.
Furthermore, Sheeran disclosed that he originally wrote the hit song "Love Yourself" for Justin Bieber. Interestingly, the track was initially rejected by several musicians before becoming one of Bieber's most popular songs.
