BBNaija star, Doyin, has strongly criticized those expressing disapproval of the recent marriage plans of current Miss Universe Nigeria, Mitchel Ihueze, to a 54-year-old billionaire.
As reported by Gistreel, the beauty queen is set to marry the 54-year-old billionaire lover identified as Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, the CEO of SNECOU Group Limited and a former lawmaker in Nigeria under APGA.
Following the news of her marriage, Mitchel Ihueze faced heavy criticism from some netizens, particularly for marrying a man more than twice her age.
In response to the criticism, Doyin shed light on two categories of individuals who tend to get upset when a woman marries a wealthy man. The first category comprises women who aspire to emulate her but struggle to find a man wealthy enough. The second category consists of men still grappling to make ends meet, facing a blow to their egos as they cannot secure a woman of her stature.
She further asserted that the notion that a woman must marry a less affluent man to prove true love is a shallow perspective.
Doyin questioned the rationale behind getting upset over someone else's marriage and expressed her bewilderment at why anyone would harbor resentment towards the union.
