Nigerian singer and vocalist, Simi, has recently expressed her disappointment over the outcome of the just concluded presidential election. On March 1st, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the presidential election, which left many people shocked and dissatisfied.
Through her Insta-story, the mother-of-one shared her thoughts and feelings regarding the election results. Simi stated that she has lost total respect for certain individuals who surprised her during the election. She further expressed concern for those who openly declared their support for certain candidates who engage in wicked acts without fear of repercussion.
Simi's message read, "A lot of people have surprised me this election. Lost whatever respect many have had for them. X 'It's my choice' is fair; but when people do wicked things in daylight without fear of repercussion, and you still support them, it serves you better to do it quietly. You're not courageous, or brave, or strong in the face of adversity. You're ignorant. And proud."
The singer's post has since garnered mixed reactions from her fans and followers, with many expressing their agreement with her sentiments. It is clear that the results of the election have left a significant impact on the people of Nigeria, and many are still processing their thoughts and emotions regarding the outcome.
