Davido‘s lawyer, Prince Bobo F. Ajudua, shared a heartwarming story about his childhood experience with the Nigerian superstar. In an interview with The Punch, Prince Bobo revealed that despite being in a lower class than Prince at the British International School they both attended, Davido’s music constantly disturbed him. However, he acknowledged the singer’s exceptional talent in music, describing him as a prodigy who was known to be a handful in school. He wished at the time that Davido would prioritize his studies over music and other interests.
Years passed by, and Prince Bobo became a successful lawyer, while Davido rose to become one of the biggest music stars in Africa. At a point, Davido requested that Prince serves as his business manager and lawyer, to which he agreed without hesitation.
Prince Bobo and Davido go way back, as they attended the same school, British International School. Despite the two or three-year gap between them, they bonded in a unique way. They used to keep in touch through MSN messenger during school breaks, even though most seniors did not relate with their juniors at the time. They did not have much in common, but something in them clicked, and they became good friends.
Once in a while, Prince Bobo would receive messages from the annoying junior student, David Adeleke, who kept saying, “Hey big bro, I have started singing, and there is this cool song I want you to listen to.” He would always tell him to send the song, even though he thought Davido was better off facing his books. Prince Bobo recalls that some of the melodies back then were not bad, and he still has a lot of old and unreleased songs from Davido from when they were teenagers.
When Prince Bobo left BIS and moved to Cambridge, they continued to keep in touch and became good friends. Davido always respected Prince Bobo as a senior he could trust, and Prince Bobo always had a fondness for him. After Prince Bobo graduated and moved back to Nigeria, Davido asked him to be his lawyer, and eventually, he became his personal lawyer and that of his family.
Prince Bobo also revealed that he co-manages Davido's career with Asa Asika, his entertainment manager. Prince Bobo serves as Davido's legal and business manager. Their relationship goes beyond business, as they are also friends and brothers. Prince Bobo admits that sometimes, Davido gives him quality advice that he won't be sharing publicly. Their lives are intertwined in many ways, and Prince Bobo says he wouldn't trade his relationship with Davido for anything. He has become one of his best friends ever.
