Renowned musician, Davido, has responded to the widespread criticism from Nigerians regarding the participation of popular television personality Toke Makinwa and others at the ongoing COP28 Climate Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Earlier, a considerable number of people expressed dissatisfaction with Nigeria's 1411-member delegation to COP-28, with particular disdain for the presence of socialite Toke Makinwa at the summit in Dubai.
In the midst of the uproar, Davido took to the internet to share his thoughts, stating that any Nigerian currently in Dubai would hesitate to post their photos due to the fear of potential criticism, as people might assume they are also there for the conference.
He added that while the outrage over the delegate list is amusing, he appreciates the reaction.
Davido expressed, "So the person who just went to have a good time in Dubai can't even post about it. Sh*t is funny AF... I love it."
