The widely followed blog, Instablog, shared images of three apprehended kidnappers, including their leader, who identified himself using the name “Davido.” This sparked widespread confusion and backlash from the singer's fans and followers.

According to reports, the kidnappers were caught by the vigilant residents of Victory Estate in Ago Palace, Lagos State. The community members took swift action to ensure the suspects were handed over to law enforcement authorities.

During an intense interrogation session, one of the kidnappers introduced himself as Ifeanyi, claiming he was from Anambra State. Meanwhile, the alleged gang leader boldly stated, “Davido is my nickname. I came to kidnap.” The other two members of the group disclosed that they hailed from Kwara and Imo states, respectively.

However, Instablog’s caption for the post fueled controversy as they misleadingly wrote, “Davido and two others apprehended for kidnapping in Lagos.” This inaccurate headline immediately caught the attention of many social media users, including Davido himself.

Enraged by the false connection to such a criminal act, Davido took to his social media platforms to call out the blog. In a firm response, he reshared the post and issued a strong warning to the platform, making it clear that their actions would not go unnoticed. He wrote: “One day go be one day…..continue…my karma no dey always tey.

Davido’s reaction quickly went viral, with fans and industry colleagues showing support for the singer, calling out the blog for spreading misleading information. Many social media users have urged Instablog to be more responsible with their reporting to prevent unnecessary confusion and reputational damage.
