[p]Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Davido, recently shared the story of how he discovered two of his latest signees on his DMW label, Morravey and Logos Olori.
During a podcast, Davido revealed that he discovered Morravey through an Instagram reel of her covering one of
Fireboy's songs. He was impressed with her beautiful voice and decided to search for her Instagram handle in the comments section. He had to go through almost 300 comments before he could find her page.
Davido messaged Morravey immediately, telling her he would make her a star. She was starstruck and requested a video call to verify that he was the one who had messaged her. After the call, he sent her some money to freshen up and paid for her and her friends' flight tickets to Lagos to record a track.
Davido was impressed with Morravey's songwriting skills and decided to feature her on his album, Timeless.
Regarding Logos Olori, Davido explained that he met him through Magicsticks, Asake's audio engineer, whom he had been working with in the music studio.
In the podcast, Davido praised Morravey's songwriting skills and referred to Logos Olori as a "mad rapper."
