Renowned Nigerian journalist, David Hundeyin, has strongly criticized an online critic who openly mocked beauty queen Chidimma Adetshina for not securing the top spot at the 2024 Miss Universe competition.
It is worth recalling that Chidimma Adetshina participated in the globally acclaimed beauty pageant following her controversial dispute with South African nationals earlier in the year.
Against all odds, Chidimma’s exceptional performance earned her a place in the finals, where she emerged as the first runner-up, narrowly missing the crown, which went to Miss Denmark.
However, not everyone shared in the excitement. A South African social media user celebrated her loss, stating that they were satisfied as long as Chidimma didn’t win the title.
David Hundeyin did not take kindly to the criticism. In a scathing reply, he highlighted the benefits that come with being the first runner-up, while comparing them to the critic’s life achievements in an unreserved manner.
The critic, under the username @ApheleleJody, posted: “As long as it is not Chidimma Adetshina who won Miss Universe 2024, we good 😂”
Reacting to this, David Hundeyin wrote: “Her package as first runner-up includes $100,000 cash, a 1-year lease on a luxury apartment in New York, a $3 million diamond-encrusted crown, and connections that will set her up for a successful career in modelling and showbiz.
Your package as a guy who wears pink boxers on his Twitter display pic is that you get to keep posting and lusting over semi-nude photos of Jason Derulo, who will never notice your existence. Meanwhile, the only claim to fame in your life is that the vagina you came out of belongs to a C-list actress in a South African soap opera that nobody under the age of 43 has ever watched.
Chidimma’s life is already far better than yours ever will be.”
David’s response sparked widespread reactions, with many commending him for standing up for Chidimma and emphasizing her remarkable achievements.
