Social media influencer, Daniel Regha, has voiced his opinion on the price of fuel at the Dangote Refinery, suggesting that the refinery should reduce its fuel price to a maximum of N300 per litre. This statement was made on Sunday via Regha's verified handle on X, where he expressed his concerns regarding the refinery's pricing policy.

Regha's comment came in response to the news that the Dangote Refinery had lowered its fuel price to N970 per litre. While acknowledging the reduction, Regha argued that this price is still relatively high and does little to significantly benefit the Nigerian public. According to him, if the refinery genuinely wants to show appreciation to Nigerians for their support, the price should be capped at N300 per litre, as N970 is still on the high side and continues to reflect the refinery’s focus on profit rather than on easing the burden of Nigerians.

In his statement, Daniel Regha emphasized that a price of N970 per litre "changes nothing" for the average Nigerian and essentially underscores the idea that the refinery is prioritizing profit over people. "Dangote Refinery should reduce their petrol price to N300 maximum, if they want to repay or thank Nigerians for their support because N970 per litre is on a high side, literally changes nothing, and shows that it’s all about making profit," he stated in his post.
