Despite serving time for money laundering in the United States, Hushpuppi marked Tunde Ednut’s 38th birthday behind bars, prompting Daniel Regha to disapprove of the video's viral circulation. He urges Nigerians to stop portraying Hushpuppi as an icon or positive role model, emphasizing that he is a criminal and should be treated as such.
Daniel points out that one of the nation's significant issues is cyber fraud (yahoo boys), a practice encouraged by individuals like Hushpuppi.
Additionally, he cautions Nigerians about the things they endorse in the name of humor or entertainment, emphasizing the need for mindful encouragement.
In his words: “Hushpuppi is a criminal & should be treated as one since he’s in prison; He often makes headlines, but Nigerians need to stop acting like he’s an icon or a good role model. One of the biggest problems we are facing today is yahoo boys, which the likes of Hushpuppi encouraged. Let’s be mindful of what we encourage in the name of cruise.”
