Twitter personality, Daniel Regha has opined that Afrobeat artist, Rema‘s assertion of being on the same level as the “Big 3” is utterly preposterous.
You may recall that the singer, who asserted he was on the same level as the current top three well-known artists, Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, sparked discussions regarding the greatest Nigerian musicians on social media.
Daniel Regha responded by calling Rema an “upcomer” in the music industry who currently only has one successful song. He may be a worldwide celebrity, but it doesn’t make him the best.
According to the famous critic, no rookie has performed well enough to be listed among the top 10. Despite their achievements, it will take them years to lace the icon’s boots.
He wrote: “Rema is still an upcomer in the music game with just ¤ne hit song at the moment; He’s a global sensation, but that doesn’t put him in the top category. For the record, no newbie or upcomer has done enough to be in the “Top 10″ debate, despite their accomplishments it will take years for ’em to lace the icons’ boot. No shades.”
