The relationship between talent manager Ubi Franklin and the Adeleke family has reportedly come to an end after he was allegedly sacked by Chioma Adeleke, the wife of superstar singer Davido. This surprising development has raised eyebrows in the entertainment industry, as Ubi Franklin has been closely associated with the Adeleke family and Davido's career for many years. According to reports, this decision has come amid multiple controversies surrounding Ubi Franklin’s financial dealings in the music industry, which are said to have influenced Chioma’s choice to relieve him of his duties.
The bold claim was made by controversial blogger Stella Dimokokorkus, who shared the news in an Instagram post. In her post, she alleged that Ubi Franklin has been facing a difficult time since the reported sacking, with several financial controversies continuing to haunt him. She highlighted that Ubi had been dragged across social media platforms for allegedly owing various individuals large sums of money, which might have contributed to Chioma’s decision to cut ties with him. The blogger stated, “Former Music Label Boss Ubi Franklin is not having it easy at all… Aside from being dragged left, right and centre for allegedly owing several people amounts running into millions, insiders allege that Davido’s wife Chioma has allegedly relieved him of his duties as her manager because of the embarrassing situation.”
Further fueling speculations about the situation, members of Davido’s 30BG crew reportedly ignored Ubi Franklin’s birthday, which occurred on Sunday. Unlike previous years when birthday tributes and celebratory posts were shared by Davido, Chioma, and other close associates, no such posts were made this time. This absence has raised further questions about the status of Ubi Franklin’s relationship with the Adeleke family and his role within Davido’s inner circle.
This recent development follows Ubi Franklin’s public dispute with fast-rising singer Spyro regarding unpaid royalties. Spyro, in an interview with Echo Room, accused Ubi of owing him $5,000 for a performance in Ghana, a claim that has added to the mounting controversies surrounding Franklin. In response to the accusation, Ubi denied owing Spyro any money and instead claimed that it was Spyro who owed him a sum. According to Ubi, he introduced Spyro to a car dealer and was expecting a 10% commission for the deal, but he never received the payment. Spyro, not backing down, later took to Instagram to showcase his assets, claiming that God had blessed him without needing to pay Ubi the 10% cut.
