The Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Chidimma Adetshina, who emerged as the 1st runner-up in the recently concluded Miss Universe contest. The Governor described Chidimma as the pride of the South East, highlighting her remarkable achievement on the global stage. His praise came after the Enugu-born beauty queen secured second place in the competition, narrowly losing to Miss Denmark, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, who claimed the crown.
Chidimma's achievement at the Miss Universe pageant was not only a personal triumph but also a proud moment for her home country, Nigeria, and the South Eastern region. Apart from her impressive second-place finish, Chidimma was also awarded the title of Miss Universe Africa and Oceania, adding another layer of recognition to her stellar performance. In a similar vein, Chairman and CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, also lauded Chidimma Adetshina for her impressive finish in the Miss Universe contest. Dabiri-Erewa, in a statement issued by her media aide, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, emphasized that Chidimma’s accomplishment was a well-deserved reward for her tenacity, hard work, and determination, highlighting her ability to overcome significant obstacles to reach such a prestigious position in the pageant.
