Nollywood actress, Chacha Eke, has confirmed the heartbreaking rumors surrounding the death of her mother, revealing the cause of her passing and the emotional toll it has taken on her. The news of her mother’s death had been circulating after popular gossip blogger, Cutie Juls, claimed that Chacha Eke’s mother had passed away, and also suggested that there had been a strained relationship between the actress and her sister, which reportedly affected their relationship with their mother.Â
Chacha Eke recently addressed these rumors in a video shared online, where she confirmed the unfortunate news and explained the circumstances of her mother’s death. The actress revealed that her mother passed away due to heart failure on February 19, 2025, around 7:00 a.m. She shared that she received the devastating news from her brother via a phone call.Â
In the emotional video, Chacha Eke described the overwhelming shock she felt upon hearing the news, expressing how it had physically affected her, causing tremors to run through her body. She further explained that her brother informed her that their mother had developed heart failure around 1:00 a.m. and, by the time he shared the tragic update with her, her mother’s lifeless body had already been taken to the mortuary.Â
Chacha also mentioned that she had not initially posted about her mother’s passing on her social media accounts, subtly hinting at the loss, and later took to the platform to thank her fans for their understanding and continued support.Â
