A Catholic priest, Fr Kelvin Ugwu, has publicly expressed his disapproval of popular skitmaker Zicsaloma following the latter’s decision to undergo plastic surgery to alter the size of his nose.
Recall that Zicsaloma, widely known for his humorous skits, recently opted for a cosmetic procedure to reduce the size of his nose, a decision that has sparked widespread reactions online.

Fr Kelvin, in a Facebook post shared on Monday, described the skitmaker’s choice to undergo a nose job as another form of poverty. He argued that certain actions taken by individuals with wealth often reveal a lack of self-esteem, discipline, and contentment.
According to the priest, the actions of those with riches sometimes expose a deeper form of poverty, one that is not financial but rather rooted in internal deficiencies.
He remarked, “There are certain things you won’t think of doing until a certain amount of money hits your account. Poverty has a way of putting a limit on our capabilities and imaginations. Also, some sins are expensive to commit, and because most of us can’t finance them, we are often mistaken for being holy.”

Expanding on his perspective, the priest stated, “On the other hand, riches create a certain type of poverty. There are certain things riches will make you do that will show how poor you are. A lot of people with riches are poor in self-esteem, discipline, and contentment.”
Fr Kelvin concluded his remarks by acknowledging the diversity of opinions and lifestyles, saying, “In the end, every Mallam to his Kettle. Ours is just to run commentary. If there is something to learn, you pick it. If none, you scroll to the next post.”
