Grammy award-winning artist, Burna Boy, has sparked widespread controversy after publicly accusing a mysterious individual of falsely claiming ownership of luxurious properties in Lagos. The Afrobeat sensation made the bold allegations via his Instagram page, setting the internet abuzz with debates and speculations surrounding the identity of the person involved.

This controversy arises shortly after Burna Boy addressed backlash regarding his alleged involvement in the arrest and detention of Nigerian rapper, Speed Darlington.
It can be recalled that Speed Darlington’s arrest became a trending topic after the rapper made controversial statements about Burna Boy’s Grammy win and his ties to embattled American rapper, Diddy Combs. Burna Boy’s response to these issues appears to have reignited discussions and fueled online drama, with his latest accusations drawing significant attention.
The award-winning singer, popularly known for his hit song “Party,” shared a cryptic Instagram post in which he called out the unnamed individual for allegedly spreading false claims about their wealth and properties. According to Burna Boy, the individual claimed to own a luxurious house in the upscale Banana Island area of Lagos, but the property is actually rented.

In addition to this claim, Burna Boy accused the individual of falsely asserting ownership of a property known as Elele’s house. The artist called on the individual to reform their ways as 2025 approaches, urging them to embrace honesty and transparency. He went further to criticize the culture of deceit, suggesting that lying should be criminalized.
Burna Boy’s post read, “If you ever lied about buying Sujimoto’s house in Banana when you only rented it, do better in 2025.” He continued, “If you ever lied about Elele’s house being yours, do better in 2025. If you have an after-market rainbow Daytona, please stop telling people it’s real. Do better in 2025.”
The Grammy winner didn’t stop there, adding, “It should be a criminal offense to tell as many lies as certain men. The list can go on and on.” His remarks have sparked curiosity about the identity of the person being accused, with fans speculating about the intent behind Burna Boy’s statement.
