Veteran Nollywood actor, Browny Igboegwu, has recently taken to social media to express his deep frustration and disappointment with the high level of hypocrisy he perceives among his colleagues in the Nigerian movie industry.
In a candid and heartfelt post, Igboegwu voiced his concerns about the inconsistent behavior he has witnessed within the industry. He pointed out the disturbing trend where some colleagues speak negatively about others behind their backs, only to turn around and publicly celebrate them as if nothing had happened.
The actor made it clear that he values authenticity and sincerity in relationships, stressing that it’s better for people to either speak well of others or remain silent altogether, rather than engaging in what he described as “double-faced” behavior.
Furthermore, Igboegwu lamented the widespread issue of fake love and shallow interactions that have become common in Nollywood. He called out the culture of “eye service,” where individuals pretend to be supportive for personal gain, rather than fostering genuine connections.
Browny Igboegwu also made it known that he would not tolerate any form of backstabbing and would distance himself from any colleagues found to be involved in such behavior. His bold stance reflects his commitment to upholding integrity in his personal and professional life.
