BBNaija star, Wanni, has made a fresh statement in which she suggests that fellow ex-housemate Ruthee could be dealing with an undiscovered mental health condition, following several altercations during their time together in the Big Brother Naija house. This speculation arose after Wanni reflected on the events that occurred while they both participated in the show.
During an exclusive interview with the BBNaija show host, Ebuka, following the conclusion of BBNaija Season 9, Wanni opened up about the ongoing issues she had experienced with Ruthee. She recalled a particular instance where Ruthee had accused her, along with another ex-housemate, X Handi, of engaging in suspicious activities for as little as #30,000 in Lekki, a statement that caused tension among the housemates at the time.
Upon Ruthee’s unexpected return to the BBNaija house, she made several provocative comments specifically aimed at Wanni, with the apparent intention of getting a rise out of her. Ruthee even went as far as to promise that she would provoke Wanni until she reacted. Despite these attempts, Wanni maintained her composure and avoided any physical confrontation. However, during her interview with Ebuka, Wanni expressed that she struggled to make sense of Ruthee’s behavior, leading her to suspect that Ruthee might be dealing with an unrecognized mental condition.
Wanni further explained in the interview that, prior to their confrontation, she had hoped Ruthee would take the initiative to approach her for a conversation to clear the air between them. When Ruthee failed to do so, Wanni chose not to take the situation personally, despite the ongoing tension.
Although Wanni doesn’t hold any resentment towards Ruthee for her actions, she admitted that Ruthee’s increasingly bitter and negative behavior during her second return to the house had become concerning. Wanni went on to describe Ruthee’s actions as “witchcraft,” using the term to emphasize the irrational and unexplainable nature of the behavior that had been displayed.
Despite labeling Ruthee’s conduct as unusual, Wanni shared that she believes Ruthee may be going through something deeper, whether it be mental or physical, which could be contributing to her erratic and confrontational behavior. Wanni clarified that while she initially did not view Ruthee in a negative light, Ruthee’s actions during her second stint in the BBNaija house led Wanni to reconsider her opinion and raise concerns about her well-being.
