Bashir El-Rufai, who is the son of the governor of Kaduna state, recently made fun of popular rapper, Falz, after he revealed that he had undergone a knee surgery abroad. Last year, Falz sustained a knee injury while playing football and had to undergo a surgical procedure to correct it. Bashir, however, mocked the rapper for going to the UK to get the procedure done. He criticized Falz, who is known for being a human rights activist, for not getting the surgery done at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH). Bashir took to social media to express his disappointment, writing, “UK? He didn't go to LASUTH as a bona-fide human rights activist? Disappointing 😞.” The comment was accompanied by a screenshot of Falz's post about his surgery.
