Nigerian music sensation Asake is currently at the center of fresh controversy after his former temporary tour promoter, Tunde Phoenix, also known as Baba T, exposed his alleged romance with his supposed new girlfriend, India Love.
The fallout between Asake and Baba T reportedly began after the singer allegedly removed Baba T from his team, leading to heated exchanges and online drama. This rift has now intensified with Baba T publicly calling out the singer over his recent moves on social media.
The controversy escalated when Asake posted a series of photos with American model and social media influencer India Love. The pictures quickly gained traction online, with many fans speculating that the two were romantically involved. Some even compared their alleged relationship to the high-profile romance of Burna Boy and Chloe Bailey, sparking further discussions across social media platforms.
However, Baba T was quick to dismiss the rumors, taking to his Instagram story to ridicule Asake. He accused the singer of attempting to fabricate a love story for publicity purposes, suggesting that the entire situation was nothing more than a marketing stunt aimed at increasing his visibility in the industry.
In one of his posts, Baba T shared a photo of Asake and India Love, adding a sarcastic caption: “Comparison Marketing. Please tell Alexa to stop, it’s making you look desperate out here.” This statement implied that Asake was deliberately trying to replicate the buzz that surrounded Burna Boy and Chloe Bailey’s rumored romance.
Baba T did not stop there. He went on to criticize Asake’s promotional tactics, suggesting that the rollout of his alleged romance with India Love was poorly executed and lacked authenticity.
“Dead Rollout. A rollout is dead when you can smell it from a mile. Stanks just drop song e sweet small. Una sit down for meeting this is the best idea? Military finds love in America,” he wrote in another post, implying that Asake and his team had orchestrated the romance as a marketing gimmick but failed to make it convincing.
Further comparing Asake’s rumored relationship with India Love to Burna Boy and Chloe Bailey’s, Baba T claimed, “This is the effect they are looking for. But Na Error.” This statement suggested that Asake was attempting to recreate the attention and buzz generated by Burna Boy and Chloe Bailey’s speculated romance, but was failing to achieve the same impact.
To further discredit any claims of a romance between Asake and India Love, Baba T shared a screenshot of a comment made by India Love herself. In her comment, she clarified that she was not in a relationship with Asake, debunking the rumors circulating online.
Baba T captioned the screenshot with, “She don confess,” implying that the truth had finally come out and that Asake’s alleged romance with India Love was nothing more than a staged act.
