American singer and producer Frankie Beverly has passed away at the age of 77. The cause of his death has not yet been revealed at the time of writing this post.
The family of the “We Are One” singer took to his official Instagram page and Maze on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, to make the announcement.
The statement read:
“Grieving the loss of a loved one is a deep and emotional experience. During this time, as we are navigating feelings of sorrow, reflection, and remembrance, we ask for privacy and understanding, allowing us the space to grieve in our own way. This period is one of healing, and your respect for our need for solitude is appreciated as we honor the memory of our beloved Howard Stanley Beverly, known to the world as Frankie Beverly.”
Frankie Beverly was a renowned producer, primarily known for his recordings with the soul and funk band Maze. He formed Maze, originally called Raw Soul, in his hometown of Philadelphia in 1970. Under his leadership, the band became known for its distinct sound and influential contributions to the genre of soul and funk music.
