She revealed how this milestone brings her a sense of fulfillment as a mother, and also provides her with more time to focus on issues affecting Nigeria.
Highlighting the new phase of her life, Yesufu humorously acknowledged her critics in her post, noting that they could now call her “jobless with a capital J” since her children are now fully independent. “You can now call me JOBLESS with a capital J! 🥰 My last born is done with university and has started on her dream career. I have a lot more time on my hands now, and I will be devoting it to NIGERIA! Welcome To A New Dispensation,” she wrote.
As one of Nigeria's most vocal activists, Aisha Yesufu has consistently championed various causes aimed at addressing systemic issues in the country. She is famously known as a co-founder of the “BringBackOurGirls” movement, which advocated for the return of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls in 2014. Yesufu’s activism has extended beyond the “BringBackOurGirls” campaign. She played a prominent role in the End SARS movement, which began in 2017.
