She went on to reveal her active participation in advocating for Shallipopi’s release during his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In a currently trending video, Angel stated: “Real Shalipopi and he’s so fine, my spec, even when they carried him, I was like ‘Free Elon Musk’, until they released him.”

Responding to Angel’s statement in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the rapper encouraged his fans to vote for her.

By retweeting the video of Angel’s conversation from the show, Shallipopi wrote: “Vote only Angel 💯 e nor pass like that.”

In related news, emerging artist and “Who’s your Guy crooner”, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, commonly known as Spyro, has faced caution from skit creator Nasboi and music journalist Joey Akan for criticizing the lyrics of Shallipopi and other secular musicians.

During a recent podcast called "The Honest Bunch" hosted by Nedu, Spyro criticized Shallipopi for his song lyrics, particularly his latest track, “Para dey Body”

While emphasizing that Shallipopi's lyrics encourage fraudulent behavior, Spyro highlighted the significance of producing songs with impactful lyrics that should not be overlooked.

Responding to Spyro's comment via his X handle, Joey pointed out that Spyro makes a living through secular artists in a secular industry, yet denigrates his colleagues while promoting Christianity.

Also addressing Spyro's comment on Instagram, Nasboi wrote, “Brooooooo like!!!! What’s your job? Music. Do you use your music to talk about Christ? NO! Man, you criticizing as a Christian is a turn off. You talk too much.”
